Couldn’t you?
It was a Saturday night and the common room was quiet. Much too quiet for a Saturday night in the middle of the school year. If it was near the end of the year, it would make sense. People would be studying, but halfway through the year with a room that was full of students, it was odd for it to be so quiet.
“Who died?” Lena asked as she fell backwards onto the couch next to Hestia, who looked up from her book.
“Hmm? Oh, the quiet? It’s been like this all day. It’s a nice change.”
“You know… I don’t think it’s going to stay like this for much longer.” Lena said, turning her head as an eruption of giggles came from somewhere behind them. Both girls turned to look just as Benjy and Dedalus climbed up on a table, both wielding guitars. Dedalus looked like he had no idea how to hold it. Seeing them there was not the weirdest part of the image. It was the fact both boys were dressed to like they were trying too hard to be rockstars. Their pants looked like they were verging on being too tight and both had eyeliner on, which was something neither Lena nor Hestia ever thought they would see.
“What on earth are they-” Lena began, looking wide-eyed at her friends. Hestia was doing the same next to her, as was the rest of the common room.
“Hello Hufflepuff house!” Benjy said after he strummed his guitar, which looked much like the muggle electric ones.
“You’ve been much too quiet around here.” Dedalus continued for him, looking less comfortable with their attire then Benjy.
“So we’re here to get rid of that silence!” Benjy finished with a look to Dedalus, who responded with a grin.
“They are not.” Lena and Hestia both said in unison.
“Why yes, my dear best friends. We are.” Benjy said, looking over at the two girls with his normal goofy grin, having heard the two from across the common room. “So sit back, relax-“
“And enjoy the show.” Dedalus grinned as him and Benjy both let their guitars hang around their necks as they began to both stop and clap a familiar tune.
“Buddy you’re a boy make a big noise playin’ in the street gonna be a big man some day…”

“What happened?” Dedalus asked from where he lay in the hospital wing. Benjy, Lena and Hestia stood over him as he nursed a pounding headache.
“You got a little bit too into the song and fell off the table. Next time, let’s skip the table.” Benjy said, his eyeliner still on, and looking slightly like a madman. He grinned at Dedalus, who only just looked at him with crazy eyes.
“There’s going to be a next time!?”
That would be called the beginning of a beard, my dear Dedalus.
